Enhancing sport and physical activity provision within South-West Edinburgh

SWE Community Sport Hub Awards 2017

The Hub is delighted to announce that nominations for the 2017 South-West Edinburgh Community Sport Hub Awards are now open. The following award categories are open for nomination, in the fourth instalment of the Hub’s annual awards.

Community Coach of the Year: Will be awarded to a coach who has supported the development of athletes or teams and has significantly increased the sporting opportunities available and participation levels within their community.

Volunteer of the Year: Open to individuals who work behind the scenes in a sports club. Their role will be vital to the club and without them things would not be the same. The person must be actively volunteering for a sport club within the Community Sport Hub in a role other than coaching.

Hub Club of the Year: Presented to the club who has excelled in sport, specifically focussed on organisation, community connections, promotion and people development.

Nominations are open until Sunday 16th April 2017, and the winner of each will be presented the award at the Hub Award’s presentation at Dalmahoy Hotel & Country Club on Monday 15th May 2017, an event that will run in conjunction with Heriot-Watt University Sports Union’s Blues & Volunteer Awards Ceremony.
